City Centre hotels and B&Bs
In many cases the reason for your visit will determine where you want to stay. If you wish to stay in a hotel in Stirling City Centre, The Golden Lion Hotel on King Street or The Terraces Hotel on Melville Terrace may be what you require to be near the pubs and restaurants in the city centre. The King Robert Hotel is located in Bannockburn, just a few miles outside the city centre with plenty of parking and located just a few minutes off the motorway network.

The Linden Guest House is also in the centre within walking distance of the train station, and Forth Guest House is the closest to the train station. In all the B&Bs guests can expect a warm welcome and a delicious Scottish breakfast.

Causewayhead Road. Lots of B&B's between Stirling and the University
As you travel over the River Forth from Stirling city centre and under the railway bridge, there is a mile of road awash with the finest quality B&B's and Guest Houses. This road is called Causewayhead Road where the old trams used to run and The Old Tram House is now a guest house. This row of B&Bs are very popular with people visiting Stirling University as it's only a short walk away to the campus. Or you may wish to stay at the Stirling Management Centre on the campus.

Stay in Bridge of Allan, historic Victorian Spa
This Victorian village is situated less than three miles from the centre of Stirling and one mile from the University. The two main hotels in the village are Adamo Hotel and the Royal Hotel as well as a number of well run B&B's and self catering accommodation properties for rent. Bridge of Allan has a railway station on the main line North so is easily reached by train, bus or car from Stirling. There are a range of short walks, shops and cafes, restaurants and bars as well as a wide range of Victorian architecture built when the village developed into a spa town during the Victorian era.

As a further by-product of the Victorian era, there are a large number of self catering properties throughout Stirling, Loch Lomond, The Trossachs and Forth Valley.
